Nils Master Loviisa – Vertical Jig with a Outward-Moving Fall

Nils Master Loviisa features a specially shaped, spoonlike body that lets it sink outward at an angle rather than straight down, creating a broader motion through the water. Its slow fluttering adds subtle, natural movement.

This outward sweep draws attention from predatory species such as perch, zander, pike and trout.

Designed by Hannu Kangas, Loviisa works equally well for ice fishing in winter and vertical fishing in open water.

How to Fish Loviisa

Method 1 — Upward Lifts
Lower the jig and work it with long, gentle lifts. Allow it to sink as you pause between pulls. Many strikes occur as it sinks or during the pause.

Method 2 — Open Water

In open water, reel the lure up from time to time and allow it to sink back toward the bottom before repeating the movement. This helps maintain its characteristic outward motion.
