Nils Master Spearhead Crankbait
Designed in 1965 and in continuous production since. A lure that found its way around the world, Australia included. The Spearhead's side-fin design produces a dense, lively swimming action — a small, searching side-to-side motion that mimics a small fish hunting for prey. When the retrieve pauses, it rises back to the surface.
One size. Two versions.
Spearhead 8 cm — runs to approximately 2.5 metres. Hand-painted standard colour, or PRO finish with UV accents and holographic detail.
The PRO version adds UV accents and a holographic finish — fish species like salmonids see UV light better than humans, and in overcast conditions or low light, the added detail helps the lure stand out at distance. Large perch are also drawn to the added flash.
Where it works
On northern rivers, the Spearhead has long been a salmon lure, and in Australia the same lure has found a second life as a barramundi lure. Beyond these, it takes large trout, perch, and pike. Works both casting from the bank and trolling from a boat.
Handcrafted in Finland. Wire-through construction. VMC hooks.
