The Bete Turku Spoon has earned its stripes as a pike-slaying legend in the the maze-like coastlines and fish-rich waters of southern Finland, near the old city of Turku — which also gave the lure its name.

But don’t let geography box it in. The 90 mm Turku spoon is just as deadly in any fresh water as it is in salt, wherever the big toothy ones roam.

Want to trigger those aggressive strikes? Let it flutter like a wounded baitfish by pausing mid-retrieve. Our Turku definitely has swagger and on a sunny day a metal spoon shines like a beacon flashing its colourful flanks like it owns the water.

Born in Sweden around the ’50s by the legendary Tysklind brothers, Bete spoons quickly crossed the Baltic Sea and became a household name in Finnish tackle boxes. Today, they’re made in Finland—by hand, by people who know fish.

We don’t cut corners. Each spoon is built with genuine copper, German silver, or brass, rigged with heavy-duty stainless steel split rings and swivels, and armed with sharp French VMC hooks.
