Bete Turku spoon is renown pike catcher in the Finnish archipelago near the city of Turku, which has also given the lure its name, but our Turku 90 mm spoon is a very good choice for any type of pike hunting whether it be in salt water or fresh water. 

The spoon is at its best when you pause with the retrieving to make it resemble a small injured fish, but with Turku Spoon you can use also slow retrieve for lazy fluttering action and quicker retrieve for more weaving side to side action that makes the spoon flash its colourful flanks. Use especially in sunny weather for the best results. 

Bete spoons were created in Sweden back in the 1950s and 1960s by Tysklind brothers and became highly popular lures in Finland, where they are now being manufactured. 

We continue using only the best quality materials for the bodies: real copper, German silver and brass, accompanied with durable stainless steel split rings and swivels, completed with French VMC hooks. 

Despite their sleek and simple looks every handcrafted Bete spoon entails over twenty work stages just to create this one lure. The quality of Bete spoons lasts year after year and they are also easy to polish or recycle and being lead-free makes them an environmentally friendly choice.
