The Nils Master Jäpittäjä 5,5 cm might be small, but don’t let the size fool you! This little lure is an overachiever in a small package and perfect for river trout. Jäpittäjä (yes we know, the name is a mouthful) is right at home in rivers and rapids, making it a solid pick when you’re chasing trout in moving water.
Thanks to its weight and compact shape, the Jäpittäjä casts like a dart and holds a tight, smooth action even in strong current. It’s got a dense, tight wobble that trout can’t seem to resist. Just one tail hook on this model keeps things simple, and if you swap in a colored hook, perch get pretty fired up about it too, but they tend to do that also with regular hook...
It’s heavier than you'd expect for its size, which means it sinks slowly between retrieves—perfect for staying in the strike zone without getting snagged.
Like all Nils Master lures, every single Jäpittäjä is hand-tuned, tank-tested, and checked for quality before it ever hits the shelf.
For Best Results: Just a heads up: after some serious fishing, the lure might get a little “off tune.” No stress — you can tweak the action by gently adjusting the eyelet angle. Just don’t mess with the plastic lip. That part’s doing exactly what it should.
Also please let wooden lures dry well after fishing.
