Product description

The Nils Master Spearhead might be best known up north as a go-to salmon slayer, but down in Australia, it's got a whole different fan club chasing barramundi.

This little legend was dreamed up by Kalevi Kangas, and he wasn’t just tinkering in the shed — he actually reeled in four salmon in one day using it. Each one tipping the scales around 15.5 kilos. Not bad, eh?

But salmon and barra aren’t the only ones taking the bait. Big trout, perch, pike, you name it, this lure gets around. Whether you're casting from the bank or trolling from a boat, the Spearhead's got your back.

It’s one of the OGs and designed way back in ‘65, and still going strong. Just 8 cm long but punches way above its weight, with a tight swim action that screams “easy lunch” to anything with fins and a hungry attitude.

Swims down to about 2.5 metres, and when you stop reeling, it floats back up like it owns the place — bit of a show-off, really, but can't be less with a name and figure like that.

Like all Nils Master lures, every single Spearhead is hand-tuned, tank-tested, and checked for quality before it ever hits the shelf.

For Best Results: Just a heads up: after some serious fishing, the lure might get a little “off tune.” No stress — you can tweak the action by gently adjusting the eyelet angle. Just don’t mess with the plastic lip. That part’s doing exactly what it should.

Also please let wooden lures dry well after fishing.

For Worst Results: Leave it on the dash of your ute in the middle of summer. It’ll be cooked before the fish are.
